Holding Taiwanese passport, people can choose either of two ways to obtain a Vietnam visa. They are:

The officials there will guide you throughout the entire process. In general, you must submit for some documents as follows:

  • Original passport with at least 6 months validity

  • Vietnam visa application form

  • 01 passport-sized photos

However, you are sometimes required to provide return ticket, hotel reservation, and tour booking. Hence it’s advisable for you to contact with the Embassy to ask for the exact requirements prior to showing up in person.

After about 7 working days, you will get back your passport with Vietnam visa on it.

After 7 working days or lesser depending on your demand, you will receive your approval letter issued by Vietnam Immigration Department to get your visa stamped at Vietnam airport.


The visa fee


You will pay the fee for the visa at Embassy all at once when you submit your documents. The fee depends on the embassy’s regulation for each type of visa.

In term of visa on arrival, you must pay the visa fee twice. Once for the visa service fee and the other for stamping fee.
